Originally from upstate New York, I began working with special needs children in high school, supporting them during their community outings. I received my bachelors degree in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University, during which I gained years of experience working with adults with special needs. My masters degree in Speech Pathology was obtained from the University of Utah. I have been working as a Speech Language Pathologist for 14 years.
After finishing my degrees, I moved to Arizona and worked in the public schools grades K-8 for three years. I then transitioned to teletherapy working for 6 years in both the school setting and the private practice setting. I have also worked the past 10 years in both the clinic and home based setting with pediatrics ages 2-21. I have experience working with Autism, Down Syndrome, language delays, speech and phonological delays, fluency disorders and social pragmatic language delays. I am a NLA trained clinician educated in the Natural Language Acquisition framework and gestalt language processing.
I've been a certified speech-language pathologist with ASHA for X years. Additionally, I've completed specialized training in the Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) framework to support gestalt language processing. NLA-trained clinicians teach language in chunks rather than individual words which can be especially beneficial for autistic children.

Based upon the results of the evaluation and the information provided by the caregiver, a treatment plan will be developed. The treatment plan will include weekly therapy sessions that are typically 30 minutes or 50 minutes in length.
TREATMENT
If an evaluation is appropriate, a time will be scheduled for a comprehensive evaluation, including receptive and expressive language skills, articulation skills and social language skills.
EVALUATION
Start with a FREE 15 minute phone consultation to discuss your child’s communication abilities and any specific concerns. This call will help determine if a more comprehensive evaluation is needed.
